Luis GarciaAccounting Manager
As part of the accounting team, it is Mr. Garcia’s job to analyze, manage, and monitor all accounting aspects of Pinnacle’s clients, including duties such as maintaining the general ledger, preparing budgets and financial statements, and reviewing overall financial health.
Mr. Garcia’s spent his career before joining Pinnacle in positions that helped him hone his accounting skills. Most recently he was the Accounting Supervisor in the Transportation and Public Works Department of Boulder County, where he maintained the budget, general ledger, and financial reporting, and also set up internal controls and best-practice processing systems. Prior to that he was in El Paso, Texas, where he spent three years in small business consulting and auditing.
Mr. Garcia earned his Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Accounting as well as his MBA at the University of Texas El Paso. He is an active member of the Government Finance Officers Association.
Outdoor activities Mr. Garcia enjoys in his free time are rock climbing, paddleboarding, and mountain biking. Closer to home, he likes gaming — both board and video. He has also lent his time to wildfire mitigation in Nederland, removing flammable junipers that were too close to residences.
