Facility Operations Manager, Logan Powell administers the operation, maintenance, and replacement of capital infrastructure assets for each district in accordance with their asset management plans for new and existing public infrastructure and facilities. He ensures the proper care of assets, preserves standards, and maintains schedules in an efficient, safe, and quality-focused manner.

During his studies, Mr. Powell worked as a sales specialist for Lowes where he was cross-trained in the flooring, appliances, millwork, plumbing, and professional sales departments. He assisted customers with special orders and installations while providing installation and contractor management. This knowledge base led Mr. Powell into trade work as a multi-family maintenance technician performing routine plumbing, electrical, and other general repairs before choosing to enter the HVAC field. As an HVAC technician, he performed routine maintenance and repairs on home systems, eventually becoming a selling technician. In this role, Mr. Powell bid out new installations for homeowners looking to update and/or upgrade their HVAC systems. He moved out of the residential sector and into the role of commercial maintenance technician for McWhinney where, after 6 months, he became the HVAC in-house technician. Mr. Powell provided oversight of contractor management for the mix-use and industrial portfolio as well as performing a host of in-house repairs.

He received his bachelor’s in English Liberal Arts with a double minor in Criminology Criminal Studies and Media Studies from the University of Northern Colorado. He also has certificates in IT support work and is a certified pool operator.

Mr. Powell likes to spend his free time woodworking and doing pyrography, playing guitar and bass, and cooking. He also enjoys going outdoors to fly fish, hike with his wife and two dogs (Hiccup and Astrid), and go to his wife’s family cabin in Red Feather.
